As Botswana celebrated 49 years of independence on September 30, proud parents across the country received their bundles of joy as the new additions to their families. A total of 54 babies were born at seven hospitals across the country. They comprised of 33 girls and 21 boys. It was an early Christmas present for the parents as their new babies were welcomed into the world on Botswana’s own birthday.
It is a blessing to the ladies who became mothers on the 30th September when Botswana gets its independence. I would name them ‘BOIPUSO’ to give resemblance of independence celebration when Botswana had a great day and so I as the mother I brought a new life in this world.
